My Other

Lost in a maze of one ways on the wrong side of Richmond and it's late. Searching for my place in a city unsafe. I need you, my other, we're doing okay. All the one ways and all the wrong ways.

Wrong Distance

Honey, you ought to leave your phone on when you leave Fredonia. I'll talk you through the driving snowstorm on the highway we swore: never drive alone. But you felt right at home. Honey I'd fall to the side of the road and mix in with salt but at least now I know. Just call me when you're home. Long drive away and in the wrong distance. I tripped hard and I left my phone on when I fell in your arms. Cause' nothin' keeps my hopes up like seeing you out, driving around. Long drive away, long drive away.

Outside of the motel and I'm drunk, watching cars; out in August an early star. So slow, green and gold and low. One night so slow, it's green and gold and glowing. I'm knee high and drunk, getting up, held your gaze and fell for us. Oh so slow, green and gold and low. One night so slow it's green and gold and glowing. I'm knee high at the end of July. Night rides, black wine, you're such a Koolwink blinking on my dark drive alone in the morning. You're blinking on my dark drive alone in the morning. Pick up your phone, it's cold, Koolwink

Take it to the Limit
02:58

Deeper into the forest back behind our house. Wanted to keep going further, never turning around. Had to put ourselves in a place it could come to us, to abandon that belief and get unstuck. Turned up and disrupted a vision on the winder of '99 Turned out that it rendered an image on the floor of the kitchen. King of like walking backwards from a time and place, trying to limit the headaches will you be okay and "to find it you must lose it" you were saying something so profound. But I wouldn't listen for a minute is it different now? Whatever informs your decision, I hope it's the right on. It occurs in the scope of an instant so get brought to to the limit, on time, air tight, unsold.

Alone on the lake I'm on the ice. I'm alone in the middle of a day off, snowing. Inside. Erased all the names in the snow trying to get back but when the lake freezes will we feel like that? If you go back to bed when she's gone. Inside a late night. Walls inside. Alone on the lake alone in the middle of a day off. Buried under covers. Buried under years like the others. Buried under covers. Buried under years like the others. I'll be laid away forever, a color in your letter.

Loose Leaf

I'm nervous enough and i don't need you permission. Did you wanna leaf? And avoid all of the friends that you made with them. I felt warm in both of your hands on the walk home when you had that plan. Cold and desperate spring forward fall downtown. I'm nervous enough and I don't ammunition to walk home alone. On the walk home you tasted like Autumn. You taste like Fall. Cold and desperate and alcohol.

In the Well
03:23

Well you left me on the workweek in a dried up shell and now I'm trying to understand it at the bottom of the well. A vacant house was born in the dark place that you were hiding. But the water wasn't there and I had both of my hands on a baseball bat trying to find our missing. You've got one hell of a lot of people mad at you for the things you used to do when you were angry. Two tiny lights in tandem moving closer as they move through space. Making the most of allotted time til they atrophy and drift away. Talking about your life force and its tendency to shrink and swell, to ride the wave up to the highest peak or the bottom of the deepest well.Never going back. In the well that night I saw light and all the things you used to do when you were angry.

You watched me down and out of that halfway built house and on and on. You watched me from eighty one with nothing but a thermos of junk and on and on. I thought I saw you in the back seat, I thought that I saw you in hte field. You followed my like the moon and I bet that when I fell down you fell down too.

Green House

Did you think that you could stay til you're worn and weathered? Like the colors fade with age, when they come they scrape, wash, and repaint. On the right side of the street they plot the garden with decades stacked in rows. Packed in a box to go. All day, every day, all night. Right side of the road, decades stacked in rows.

From the top down; you're in the center of an accumulating pressure. You did your best to just forget that you got snuffed out; drowned out by the static in an attempt to catch the essence of something you though you deserved. All I want is no more commercials and with all they represent, what we need is a better sense. And I think we should quit the circus and never speak of this again. When I got home I couldn't construct a sentence, forgot to print out directions- telling me me I don't know the struggle. But that was fun, what's there to pick you up- one of your famous misdirections- showing me how to adjust the tension- what have I done? I was only trying to pick you up. Was only only trying spend some time in empty spaces. Take back the things that we never meant and do whatever we haven't yet. But you were blue and gray, hands were shaking, telling me why you were so upset, not trying to patiently wait for death. You are a star. You are emblematic. You are a star.
